What is Static Electricity!

Everything in the world consists of tiny particles called Atoms.
Atoms contain even tinier particles called Protons, Neutrons, and Electrons.
Most Atoms are neutral, which means the positive charge particles (Protons) are balanced with the negative charge particles (Electrons)
Sometimes through Friction an Atom can have a slightly more negative charge, and this built up electric charge is called Static Electricity.

This is why Static electricity can make your hair stand up. Each hair has a negative charge and it repels against the other hairs.

Here are our class Haiku poems!

Haiku poems are a wonderful and easy way of writing about a topic.
They are written and read in syllables.

5 syllables
then 7 syllables
then 5 again
(they are not perfect, but I think they are still amazing! Well done super writers :-)
